The beautiful Riva Del Lago condominiums is located in Fort Myers near Lakes Park. Built in 2005, this contemporary style community consists of two high rise towers.
And this is a serious high rise, each tower has 21 stories. There are a total of 206 units throughout the two buildings, all of which have access to Riva Del Lago amenities.
As is typical for Fort Myers condominiums, these buildings are indeed high-rise, with 22 floors in each. There are stunning views from most of the units, including sunsets, the Sanibel Island bridge and the nearby lakes.

One of the things that sets Riva Del Lago apart from other high-rise condominiums in the area is the variety of floor plans.
If you’ve done any house hunting in the area, you’ll notice that many have similar layouts and sizes. Each floor has five distinct floor plans, and the penthouse is completely different from these.
There are 161 units in the complex, so approximately 30 or so of each layout. Within these various units you are sure to find different finishes, and possibly even altered floor plans if people have done any renovations in the past 15 years.
Prices at Riva Del Lago are relatively consistent for the non-penthouse units. There is the typical variation for which floor the unit is located on (higher is usually more expensive), but in general they range from $300,000 to $400,000 for about 1,600 square feet of living space. The penthouse units are almost double that in size and price.
Most units come with some sort of parking, whether that be covered (carport) or garage. Pets are allowed at Riva Del Lago, with a limit of 2 per residence and no larger than 20 pounds.
This high-end property is highly coveted, so it is not always easy to find a unit for sale. Rentals are allowed at Riva Del Lago, but there is a 30-day minimum.
Riva Del Lago Amenities
Some may argue that amenities at Riva Del Lago will have you feeling like you’re staying at the Ritz. It is definitely an upscale environment with plenty of options for residents and guests.
Centrale
Most amenities can be accessed via Centrale, the community hub in the center of the two buildings.
Within Centrale you will find a billiards room, media room, boardroom, a social room, and fitness center.
All of these spaces are open to residents for small impromptu gatherings or organized meetings.
Tennis and Pool
Outside there is a heated infinity edge pool, and two spas, as well as tennis courts, a BBQ and gazebo area for picnics, and a kayak storage area.
The HOA and management company keep an active social calendar that includes holiday events and weekly coffee chats so members can get to know each other.
Like every HOA with amenities, there is a quarterly fee to be paid. For the non-penthouse units that fee is $1,738 ($6,952 annually).
For the penthouse it is significantly higher, coming in at $4,636 per quarter ($18,544 annually).
Riva Del Lago Surrounding Area
Located in South Fort Myers, Riva Del Lago is close to everything one could want.
Interested in a day at the beach? Pack the car and head south or west, you’re sure to run into a dozen different beaches.
There are the beautiful beaches of Bonita Springs, including Lover’s Key and Bonita Beach. Further west you’ll meet the causeway to Sanibel Island, a great place to spend the day.
More in the mood for shopping and dining? Fort Myers has plenty to choose from including Gulf Coast Center and Bell Tower Park, just a quick drive away.
Further south in Estero you’ll find the Miromar Outlets and Coconut Point shopping area, both great places to spend the day.
Looking to get further out of town? Head south to Naples or Marco Island. You’ll experience a different kind of luxury in downtown Naples along 5th Avenue where there are numerous high-end shops and restaurants.
Marco Island will feel a little bit like the Florida Keys with its architecture and seafood restaurants.
