brendan cove Real Estate

Looking to be close to the water and everything that Bonita Springs has to offer? Look no further than Brendan Cove. A lovely, gated community on the Imperial River, close to shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. Conveniently located near Bonita Bay and route 41, this community is a great starting point to explore all that Southwest Florida has to offer.

Initially developed in the early 1980s, building continued until the early 2000s. Believe it or not, there are still some empty lots that remain, waiting for you to build your dream home!

Not quite as secluded as some other communities, Brendan Cove is centrally located near most major routes and amenities. The neighborhood is set slightly back from the main thoroughfare, so it feels private, but you can easily get out of the community and off to run your errands or take a day trip.

Brendan Cove Homes for Sale

Brendan Cove Real Estate

Brendan Cove is a community of various home types, including detached single family style residences as well as detached villa-style condominiums. There are approximately 60 homes spread across 30 lush, tropical acres. Many of the homes have private boat docks on the canal, leading to the Imperial River. Others have lovely, screened lanais and in-ground pools.

The majority of homes in the community are more modest than some of their Naples estate-like counterparts. They range in size from 1,700 to 2,500 square feet, most with three or four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The condominiums tend to be slightly smaller than the single-family homes but are just as nicely appointed.

Prices range from $450,000 for an empty lot to nearly $900,000 for a renovated single-family home. Because there is a small number of properties in this community, they don’t often come up for sale. If you are interested in living in Brendan Cove, it’s best to keep an eye out for new listings!

Brendan Cove Amenities

Boating is the main attraction at Brendan Cove so there are limited other amenities. The quarterly HOA fee is $915, which provides access to the community pool, cabana, and fishing pier.  There are no sport courts for tennis or pickleball at Brendan Cove which is somewhat typical of waterfront, boating communities.

Similar to most communities, the HOA fee also contributes to general upkeep of the neighborhood, landscaping, maintenance, and other area projects.

It could be said that the Imperial River is the only amenity you need while living at Brendan Cove! For those residents who don’t have private docks outside their door, there are slips available at the marina.

If you are interested in golf, there is a semi-public course, Bonita Fairways, about a mile away from the community. Additional outdoor and leisure activities abound in the area, so it’s likely you’ll find something that interests you.

Brendan Cove Surrounding Area

Brendan Cove is ideally located just off W Terry St, a quick jaunt to route 4, which can get you to just about anything you would want. Other than the nearby golf courses and supermarkets, not far down the road is the new Coconut Point Mall, home to great restaurants and shops. There is a seasonal farmer’s market held there weekly that features local artisans and small businesses.

In the mood for some beach time? Both Bonita Beach and Barefoot Beach are a short drive away. Equally close is Delnor-Wiggins State Park in Naples.

The Everglades Wonder Gardens are a 5 minute drive away, where you can stroll the botanical gardens and view wildlife. No matter your interest, there is plenty to do in and around Brendan Cover.

One of the more interesting, and possibly underrated, areas to explore is the Florida Everglades. Bonita Springs is a quick trip to the Everglades, where you can visit the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, Big Cypress National Preserve, or Picayune Strand State Forest. Each of these places will give you a true perspective of the natural areas of Southwest Florida. People flock here for bird watching (pun intended) as well as hoping to spot other wildlife or exploring the palm trees and other local plants.

Need to get out of town or back north for the summer? Florida Southwest International Airport is just under 30 minutes away by car. In the mood for a road trip? In less than 10 minutes you can be on I-75 and headed south to Miami or North to Tampa.
