The Harborage Real Estate

The Harborage is made up of entirely single-family residences, 128 to be precise. Every single home in the community is located on the water, and many have their own private beach.

Although the construction of the neighborhood is mostly completed, there are still some empty lots available for you to build your dream home!

There are no condominiums or townhomes in this community, and very limited rental opportunities. The Harborage is truly a residential neighborhood where many homeowners stay year-round.

Prices range from the low $500Ks to over $1.5M for the homes here. Price depends on size, amenities, and location. Although perfect for active families, there is definitely a mix of residents at The Harborage. There are working and retired folks, including professionals and entrepreneurs. It’s the ultimate work from home location!

The Harborage Amenities

The Harborage works hard to ensure the quality of the community, including extensive deed restrictions and rules for aesthetic updates. This helps to maintain the beauty and privacy that the residents have come to expect.

Security

The gated community has private roads as well as 24 hour security.

Sports & Recreation

Unlike some other communities in the Fort Myers area, The Harborage has plenty of recreational amenities available to the residents. There are lighted tennis courts, a swimming pool, picnic area, and private party room. Additionally, there are areas to play basketball and volleyball. For a more low-key workout, there is a walking path

HOA fees here are surprisingly low considering all the amenities and the exclusivity that The Harborage offers. They are $3,000 per year, or $750 per quarter.

Lakes

For those who prefer fishing, the two freshwater lakes within the community are stocked with various fish including largemouth bass, bluegills, and catfish.

Looking for a saltwater fishing adventure? Direct Gulf access can be had from the Harborage, as both the Park Road Canal and Ten Mile Canal connect to Estero Bay.

Although there is no golf course within The Harborage, there are plenty of public courses a short drive (or putt) from the community. Additionally, there are more tennis clubs and fitness centers nearby as well.

The Harborage Surrounding Area

Located in southern Lee county, not far from US-41, The Harborage is a great launching pad for many of the area attractions.

Although the homes here may have their own beach, if you are looking for a larger public beach, it is only about 20 minutes to Fort Myers Beach to the west and 30 minutes to Bonita Beach to the south.

Looking for a day trip? Sanibel and Captiva are a quick trip across the Causeway. You could be having lunch at the famous Bubble Room in less than an hour!

Fort Myers offers may shopping options, both high end and discount. The Sanibel Outlets are nearby, a little further out is the Miromar Outlet Mall, home to many designer stores. Supermarkets, coffee shops, and even art galleries can all be found in the vicinity.

If you like fancy cars, it may be worth taking a trip to downtown Naples where many Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other expensive vehicles like to hang out. While there, take a stroll along 5th Avenue to do some window shopping.

For those who want to travel north for the summer or out of town for a weekend getaway, Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is a 15-20 minute drive (depending on traffic). RSW is a great airport, with easy parking and multiple daily flights.
